‘This is Our Game. This is My Game’ 2025-2029 Strategy is our commitment to the future of cricket across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. At Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Foundation, we are driven by a passion for the game and a vision to make cricket accessible to all, regardless of background, age or ability.

We are privileged to represent one of the most diverse communities in the country. We believe that cricket has the power to bring people together, break down barriers and foster a true sense of belonging, whether played in the heart of our city or in the most rural parts of our counties.

This strategy prioritises that cricket is representative of the communities we serve. It must be a sport where everyone feels welcome, where every child can pick up a bat and ball and where opportunities exist for players to progress and thrive. This means expanding pathways for Women’s and Girls’ cricket, enhancing disability and inclusive programmes, and increasing engagement in communities where cricket has historically been less accessible.

Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. We will continue to strengthen our relationships with clubs, schools, volunteers, community organisations, local authorities and key partners to ensure that cricket thrives throughout our region. In partnership with Leicestershire County Cricket Club, we will leverage our platform to keep cricket at the heart of our county’s sporting identity.

For cricket to thrive, we must invest in people, facilities, and opportunities. This means not only increasing participation but also ensuring that clubs are well-supported, volunteers are valued, and our infrastructure is built for the future. Our commitment to sustainability will see us create new spaces for cricket, nurture talent, and develop a strong pathway from grassroots to elite level.
