Table Cricket in Leicestershire & Rutland
At the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation, we believe cricket should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we proudly deliver Table Cricket, an adapted version of the game designed for young people with disabilities and additional needs.
What is Table Cricket?
Table Cricket is a fast-paced, inclusive format played on a table tennis table using a specially designed kit. It allows participants to experience the excitement of cricket in a way that suits their abilities, promoting teamwork, communication, and confidence.
Our Work
We run Table Cricket sessions in:
- Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Leicestershire and Rutland.
- Community settings where young people can enjoy sport in a safe, supportive environment.
Through these sessions, we aim to:
- Increase participation among young people with disabilities.
- Develop skills and confidence through fun, competitive play.
- Create pathways for players to take part in local and national Table Cricket competitions.
Why It Matters
- Table Cricket is more than a game—it’s an opportunity for inclusion. It helps break down barriers, ensuring that every child can experience the joy and benefits of cricket.
